Recovery Sandals: Treat Your Feet

By Amanda • October 8, 2015 • Gear Reviews & Giveaways

These feet of ours. They take us so far! Like a lot of people, runners and walkers rely on our tootsies to take us there. You’ll take an average of 55,000 steps in the average marathon (27,500 in a half marathon) and when you cross the finish line they’re not done! This is why recovery sandals are exploding in popularity. Made from special cushy materials, in comforting and supportive shapes, your entire lower half will breathe a sigh of relief when you slip them on.

Good To Know: Runners and walkers love recovery sandals, because we know anything we can do to speed up recovery time makes for an even better season. But sandals designed with arch support in mind can also be especially helpful if you have trouble with plantar fasciitis or peroneal tendonitis.

Do they make the oofos without the toe divider? I can’t abide that big toe divider.

Don t flip flops require that you sort of clench your feet around the toes to keep the shoe in place as you step? I think its a pretty different movement to, say, closed sandals with no arch support or bare feet, for example.
